This is a project represented by a Performance Testing tool created along with four colleagues from Bitdefender.This tool helps both developers and testers in finding problems earlier in Development process.

How is it working?

After each commit pushed to a development branch, 10 automated smoke tests start running on a test environment, and their response time is displayed in a graph. Users are able to see performance issues using displayed graphs.When the response time for a test is more than a set threshold, the mark from the graph turns to red.

Because the owner of this project is Bitdefender I'm not able to provide more informations or pictures about this project.

Car Selector

Car Selector is a Web Application developed for a Master course. The main reason of this application is to help a user to find the best car according to his preferences even if he doesn't have technical knowledge. According to the user’s selection, application offers prices from three dealers(simulated here using a PHP function) from where the applicant can choose the most suitable option for him.

The previous picture shows the first page of the project, where you, as a user, are asked if you need technical assistance in order to achieve your car.

So, for the first question you have only two answers, YES or NO. If you say NO, you will be redirected to a page that contains the technical details that you want for your car.(picture below)

Last step in finding the best option is the response given by the application as a result, where you will be able to find suitable cars for your search together with technical specifications.Here are also displayed the prices for each car mentioned in the first paragraph.

Now, going back to the first question, ( "Do you need technical assistance in order to achieve your car?") let’s suppose that the user doesn’t have so much knowledge and he will answer YES.

In this situation you have to answer a few non-technical questions in order to determine your preferences for a car.

First question, as you can see in the attached picture is "Why are you buying a new car ?".

Here, you are able to choose only one answer from those 6 available: My current car is unreliable, Growing Family, Upgrading, Downsizing, First Car, Additional Car.

Next question take into consideration the people who are travelling with the car. This question has the propose to see how safe or roomy should be the car. Here you have to select the number of adults, children and also you can choose sport equipment , tools, boat etc.

Next step is represented by the budget you have. In backend, the query will be created using an interval for the sum you selected (-35%, +5%).

Last step is related to the things that are important for user. Here you have multiple choose answer from: Reliability, Comfort, Cost of Ownership, Safety, Performance, Fuel Economy, Storage Space and Prestige.

Finally, after you press Show Results button, the results will be displayed in the same manner previously presented.

Technically, web application uses a MySQL database, Apache as Web Server and the programming language used for querying and data manipulation is PHP. Design elements are realised using CSS and Frameworks like Bootstrap or JQuery.

Find and exploit vulnerabilities of a Web Application using Penetration Testing

This is the project for my bachelor's degree and it's related as you can see from the title with Penetration Testing on a Web Application.

The chosen application was Bitdefender GravityZone and the purpose of testing was to increase the security of the famous Antivirus software.

Testcases were created in Bash and Ruby using penetration tools like Metasploit, Nessus. All testcases were executed using Kali Linux, a linux distribution designed for this kind of testing.

After testing execution, several security problems were found, most of them related with packages installed on Linux Virtual Appliance.In the next chart are displayed found vulnerabilities using Nessus penetration tool.

Each vulnerability exposes system to an attack type.In chart below I represented Attack Types according to their likelihood.

Forest Fire Prevention System

This is the research project for Master, started in October,2015.

The aim of this project is to prevent forest fires using data from sensors like: temperature, humidity, precipitation , wind speed or wind direction.The project will be developed during two years (October 2015 - July 2017) and it's obviously divided in multiple steps.

The project has four modules, detailed onward.

The first module is related to monitoring the forest fires using sensors data displayed in graphs.Each sensor measure and sends the value every 15 minutes.In pictures below you can see the parameters evolution during a time period.

The second one is represented by the alarms, which are marked with red marks on the graphs, in order to display fire danger based on collected data.

The third module is related with prediction of forest fires using Data Mining and Genetic Algorithms. Based on historical data, a prediction of future forest fires will be realised using a graph as well.

Last module is represented by video monitoring using IP Cameras and a router in order to be able to check anytime the accuracy of registered data by sensors.

Web application was built using MySQL database, Apache Web Server and PHP for queries and data manipulation.Design elements and charts were realised using CSS, Bootstrap, Javascript, jQuery and Google Charts.
